Overview
RedWizard, a project, change, and transformation consultancy, engaged me to help refine and expand their brand identity. Over the course of our collaboration, I have worked on multiple key projects including creating their brand guidelines, redesigning their website, producing marketing content, and delivering copywriting services. This partnership has helped RedWizard present a cohesive, engaging brand identity across digital platforms, marketing materials, and client communications.
Objective
The primary goal was to create a unified and modern brand system that would communicate RedWizard’s values and offerings clearly and consistently across all channels. This involved updating the logo, refining typography, selecting a cohesive colour palette, creating a consistent tone of voice, redesigning the website, and crafting engaging copy and content. Each project was designed to elevate RedWizard’s mission of driving positive change and innovation for their clients.
Key projects
1. Brand guidelines and identity: I updated RedWizard's logo to give it a refreshed, modern look while retaining the core identity of the brand. The project extended into refining their overall identity system, including typography, colour palette, imagery, tone of voice, and brand story. Once the rebranding was complete, I designed a detailed brand guidelines booklet that served as a reference for future internal and external design work. This ensured consistency in how the RedWizard brand was communicated across all touchpoints, from marketing materials to internal documents.
2. Website redesign and copywriting: RedWizard initially approached me for feedback on their website. After reviewing the existing site, I was commissioned to fully redesign it in Figma. I created two layout concepts: one focused on illustration and another that emphasised RedWizard’s identity as a family-run business. After presenting these options, RedWizard selected the first design, which emphasised RedWizard’s identity as a family-run business, focusing on the personal aspect of their brand.
Alongside the design, I was responsible for writing all the website copy, ensuring that the tone of voice was consistent with their refreshed brand. The final website, launched on time, reflected RedWizard’s values while delivering a clear, user-friendly experience. I also created case studies, promotional images, and additional written content to support the site.
3. Copywriting and content creation: In addition to website copy, I provided extensive writing services for RedWizard, which included blog articles, case studies, and promotional content. My copywriting focused on clearly articulating RedWizard’s value proposition, services, and thought leadership, while maintaining the tone of voice we established during the rebranding process. Each piece was tailored to engage their target audience and communicate their expertise in the change and transformation industry.
4. Video production and infographics: I was also involved in the production of both a "talking heads" corporate video and an animated promotional video for RedWizard, which aligned with the new brand look and tone. Additionally, I designed several infographics, including one designed as a creative game board and another illustrating PMO change support models. These visual aids helped communicate complex information in an engaging, easy-to-understand way.
Challenges
The primary challenge was maintaining consistency across the wide range of materials—brand guidelines, website, copywriting, videos, and infographics—while ensuring that everything reflected RedWizard’s core values of flexibility, innovation, and collaboration. As each medium required a different approach, it was important to establish a unified design and tone that worked across all channels.
Results
The updated branding, website, and content were very well received, both internally and externally. RedWizard’s clients provided excellent feedback on the refreshed look and feel of the brand, praising it for its clarity and modernity. Internally, RedWizard reported that the new brand guidelines and assets made it easier to maintain consistency across all their communications.
Additionally, the new website improved the user experience, making it easier for clients to understand RedWizard’s services and engage with the content. The promotional videos and infographics provided further avenues for RedWizard to showcase their expertise, while the case studies and blog articles helped establish their thought leadership within the industry.
